Citation is not a feature, it is the whole product
An answer a practitioner cannot check is worth nothing in a regulated file. How we train for verifiable references.
The rule in brief
Every claim, its source.
01 · The problem
Sounding right is not enough
A general model writes fluent answers. In a regulated file, fluency is not the test: the reader has to be able to check every sentence against a text.
An answer without a source forces the practitioner to redo the research. At that point, the model has saved no time.
So we treat the citation as the product itself, not as a footnote added at the end.
Anatomy of a citation
Enough to find the text in one step.
What every reference in an answer must contain.
An answer, with its source
Probably not. Given the length and exclusivity of the relationship, a longer notice is defensible. Art. L. 442-1, II, C. com.
“…the brutal termination, even partial, of an established commercial relationship, without written notice that takes into account the length of the relationship…”
Illustrative example.
02 · How we train for it
Four checks on every answer.
- IFind the textThe applicable article, decision or clause.
- IIAnswer from itThe answer rests on that text, not on memory.
- IIICite preciselyArticle, paragraph, date: enough to find it in one step.
- IVGrade the citationIf the reference does not hold, the answer fails.
With and without
The same answer. Only one can be used.
Probably not: a longer notice is defensible given the length of the relationship. Case law generally agrees.

In our words
“The citations hold. That is the only test that counts here.”
03 · Why it matters
Trust, one reference at a time
A practitioner who can check an answer in one click will use it again. One who cannot will stop.
That is why every version of Le Lion is graded on its citations before anything else.
